I've started looking at El Camino's day dreaming as well. One thing that is starting to bother me is the trend of people taking pics of the car they're trying to sell on the back of a car hauling trailer. Seeing that 6 series made me think “it would be awesome if there were a lemons-like race for cars that cost under $5k, but were more than $100k new.” But it would probably just be high-end German engines oiling down the track once every five minutes. They’d probably get in about four complete laps per weekend.

This came up on my local copart auction. Good to see e30 M3 prices are staying reasonable.    Auction Listing $24k for a “stripped” M3 with 154k miles and “Transmission = NO.” Actually could be a bargain to flip, but that’s still a lot of money.

Some crazy man (he raced an 80's caged Ford Fiesta or Festiva, and made sure to be offended and corrected me when I called it the wrong one  ) I bought my first Miata from had a E30 M3 that was for sale for $10k back in about 2008 or so. It wasn't in the greatest shape and I don't think prices were that stupid then. He was one of those guys with the "I know what I got" mentality so I just scoffed and drove off in the Miata. I picked the wrong car, obviously.
