This is neat, but strange to scroll through. Some of these ads have a crazy gender breakdown. Like 90%+ men or women for certain ads. And some woman is spending tens of thousands of dollars to run an ad for a petition to ban a Sandy Hook video game?

Condiv posted:watching dems hyperventilate cause the green party "cost" them an election again is p hilarious It's especially stupid because those people generally wouldn't otherwise vote Democratic (so you might as well direct that same anger at any non-voter, or even, you know, Republican voters!). Even a couple liberal posters in another thread were pointing this out, but they were lost in the sea of people acting like the Green Party are worse than Nazis. I always try to point out how bizarre and disproportionate mainstream liberal hatred towards the Green Party or figures like Glenn Greenwald is, but it always falls on deaf ears. I don't even like either of those things, but it's just transparently obvious that the level of vitriol aimed their way is crazy and makes no sense. I would go as far as to say that liberals seem to hate them even more than any Republican save arguably Trump himself.

The point is that their votes were the sovereign property of the Democratic National Corporation to be used strictly and solely as they see fit. In their minds, it isn't the job of Democratic party to support you but for you to support Democrats and it makes these shitheads extremely mad when they see the faintest display that other people don't agree.

If a party is so weak that it consistently has to rely on a voting block of less than one percent in order to win, then maybe said party needs some serious reforms instead of a serious sense of entitlement?

How come the dems are refusing to compromise and triangulate if they believe they need the green vote to win? Maybe they should adopt a green policy or two. It’s the sensible thing to do after all.

They aren't meaningfully fighting gerrymandering or voter suppression, let alone fighting for better systems of voting than FPTP. The latter they largely like very much, because it goes an awful long way toward ensuring the two firmly entrenched political parties will never be uprooted.
