The show basically attacked the culture that relied on stuff like slice of life high school animes and dating sims but then when it became really big the company realized it needed money and became exactly what it was trying to subvert.

The first two are...mediocre, to be generous, and the third is complete garbage. There’s supposed to be a fourth at some point, but can’t say I care if it ever comes out. He did direct Shin Godzilla, which is super good and weird. Also unsure about the ability to date the gay angel.

End of Evangelion is an alternate ending to the series and features a pretty rad fight scene if nothing else. It's a cyborgman, who combines with a stealth fighter, a drill tank, and a train, and he punches bad robots in the face.
