The idea of a giant robot turning into a giant fist and punching god is funny to me, but not in the way you think that it is. Nor does that make that image funny. There's nothing inherently funny about it. Like, if you have to explain it to people who aren't waifu pillow-having shut-ins, then maybe it isn't funny as much as it is just referential to your scene. References aren't jokes.
