New Argument In Heaven: Incrementalists Versus The Spectrum. An ancient dispute between two powers, one convinced that universe is fundamentally structured as tiny increments, the other insisting that reality is on a spectrum, and that any adjustments involve sliding energy along that spectrum.

This dispute cannot be settled until one side is ground to dust. Or smeared into infinity.

I would like it if Ironman worked like CK2 in that turning certain things down / off disabled achievements.

Either that or a set of locked presets when playing Ironman.

I think it'd be fine to have full flexibility when not playing Ironman.

Core worlds should still be at the top imo but the core sector should be represented as such, so that you can click it to expand/contract the list of planets like any other sector.

I'm meh on corvette swarms because whenever I try to field one in a game, I'll have like a 100k torpvette fleet go up against a 50k station and just all loving die because they do barely any damage to it. I've never found myself with a fleet cap high enough that I can make enough for them to become useful versus a battleship+ fleet using the same amount of fleet points. NSC makes them even more useless because Strike Cruisers fill their position later in the game and even they're kinda meh.

The big advantage everyone seems to tout is they are cheap, easy to replace, have a high disengage chance and move fast. But their disengage chance only procs at all when hit while under 35% hull, and do you know what's faster than a corvette fleet? A fleet that I don't have to reinforce after every single battle.

when you have 50k stations to deal with and are in the late game you probably shouldn't be using corvette swarms as much. my turnover point is pretty much the instant i hit gateways. if i'm playing multiplayer i will build anti-cruiser cruisers/battleships to go with my own corvettes as soon as i am able so i don't get owned but otherwise there's no reason not to go 100% corvette for most of the game so you get the highest possible strategic speed (unless you are devouring swarm in which case you want thicc hp and maximum disengage chance).

once you have the research for long range battleships to dumpster stuff with big guns you should make them tho

Id prefer for there to be a lot more civics and another slot for a civic or a special slot for starter civics like mechanist or syncretic evolution.

Not to the point of like civ 6 where civics are generic, but more ability to role play or affect your civ would be fun.

Obviously we're just getting little peeks, but I don't like that shared burden is a pre-set living standard. What if my empire is doing really well and I want to globally increase luxuries for everyone to make them happier? Hope there will be a way to put the luxury into fully automated luxury space communism.

It says it disables most living standards, not all, so I assume that at least Utopian Abundance is still gonna be an option to let you graduate from Partially Automated Necessities-Based Terrestrial Socialism to FALGSC once you feel like you can afford it. But you can't use any of the standards that are tiered/unequal, just everyone set to Decent or everyone set to Utopian, etc.

It still enables you to switch to Utopian Abundance (it requires Egalitarian, so it'll always be an option). It just disables the more stratified living conditions.

In the last 500 years, the Fourth Stimpire has dominated four systems, which it has united into one starzone, Stimsis. The Fourth Stimpire has origins from the Ten Empire War in which 10 of the United Stimpires revolted against each rules. All empires except for the fourth swore freedom upon their citizens. There is no free speech in the Fourth Stimpire, and all self-controlled transportation has been made illegal without undergoing painful medical verification methods, in which arteries are severed without pain resistant, operated entirely by machines. The way they work claim to be the most hygenic and healthy way possible, but these machines often rub against pain points, causing great deals of pain to patients. The heart is then extracted from the body and placed into a glass grinding machine. Various energy centers are also dissected and replaced with dangerous transplants. After the painful, 52 hour surgical procedure, patients will then have to use a fused guidance tool, which pumps painful resistors into the body every 2 hours. The pain they have caused is so bad, the victim would freeze in a tense position. They would then collapse afterwards.
