That's a good episode, and the movie's not bad either.

Felix's joke about how Boston's big terror attack being 1/100th of what 9/11 was but acting like it was just as earth shaking was the most spot on thing said on the podcast.

Thanks for the recs everybody! I love their media criticism, and I love their reading series too even though they’re sometimes hard to listen to. For ex I’m listening to Poster’s Crusade and it’s great but I’m having to stop every thirty seconds due to secondary shame.

Ask me about onklunk extraction.
That Patriots Day movie is so weird because you expect them to make the Tsarnaev brothers out like they're these mad superterrorists who brought the city to its knees with their cunning terrorist smarts but it's a pretty straightforward depiction of them as a pair of dipshits along with their idiot friends.

agreed. But the pool of references they're pulling from is so small it can lead to clunkiness like when they used Cruel Angel's Thesis in the RPG episodes.

E1 is good when they've got some prepared material to work around, like the Pitchfork parody episode, but they can flounder when they're entirely off the cuff

It's the theme song from Evangelion. They use it as BGM during one of the role play episodes, even though it's not appropriate to the scene.
