Actually the nintendo tip line I used to call was a 900 number that directly gave Nintendo money, unlike your long distance call that didn't give Nintendo dime one

I actually remembered I spent more on link's awakening phone calls than I did on the game itself lol

Yes, they originally had a Seattle area code number for tips and changed it to a 900 number in the early 90s when they realized they should be making money on it instead of losing money

The number was 1-900-288-0707 and it didn't go down until like three years ago lol
