the austin rally FB page has blown up once again, this time patriot front members have poured in to attack one of the organizers (the one with the famously bad teeth) for disavowing overt white nationalism: "nathan goldstein" is likely a pseudonym for this guy. another fellow in the mix is this guy "jack danson," who runs a 4chan /pol/ nazi club in texas called the kek group:  patriot front is more of a traditional romper-stomper crew. kek group is a little flubbier. but these guys are closely linked and have teamed up before:  also the rally seems to have at least one guy seeking out a compromise: just wear american flag masks over your faces! problem solved!  edit: also the los angeles "march against left-wing violence" has been cancelled.

Oh cool we're talking about Terry Goodkind. I never read the SoT books, but I did briefly watch the series it was based on, The Legend of The Seeker. It was made by the same people who created Hercules and Xena, and had all the campiness of those shows with none of the self-awareness. Couldn't get into it at all, even though the lead actress was smokin' hot. The show was way too goofy and not in a good way. I figured the series had to change a lot of stuff from the books to make it more palatable to audiences but I didn't see enough of it to say much about it one way or the other.
