there's a memorial to a concentration camp for confederates run here in Indianapolis, and I've argued passionately that it should be preserved, to show that there are no good guys or good causes in war, that it's all a horror of slaughter and genocide arrived at because people were too stupid and short sighted to do what needed doing before escalation was the only option a lot of people do not agree with this, especially on the right. they believe in the face of all evidence that war can be noble and honorable, lmao
