Yeah, that pretty much covers what I wanted. Especially if lostech stuff starts floating around a little, for a guy like me it's sort of a curse to get irreplaceable stuff and get irritated when I lose them but also not want to go diving into mod soup. Though that "target acquisition" mission, while I basically asked for something like that, seems like it might be hard to pull off from a design perspective. Oh, and can I move mechs into different bays now? That was a little strange (that may have been patched already I only played a few missions after the main story was over and then put it down to wait for an expansion like this).

Yup, it's a Paradox joint now, all right. Gonna wait until all these mini expansion packs are out and then hopefully get them in a bundle before ever replaying this game, likely with a future version of Roguetech, since that seems to be the big one. Guessing there won't really be Clan stuff until Battletech 2, which will probably cover the invasion and be all about how the Clans are better than everyone else, morally and genetically.

I've been trying out https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/136, sandbox version, based on some feedback from other players in this thread. The balance changes are pretty well thought out and explained. This modpak seems to be based around the idea of expanding and balancing what was already there If you do decide to try it out follow the installation instructions: https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/articles/84

It's a good mod if you want to keep a fairly vanilla feel but still add more variety and tweak the balance.

In all seriousness I know Hatchetman Hype is going to be huge but I approve of getting the Crab so I can have All Crab Lance with more than just 4x King Crabs. not to say I won't prefer 4x KC but y'know, variety is the spice of life

I just hope the DLC isn't priced too high. I'm not sure I'd wanna pay 20 bucks for 3 mechs and a mission chain/mission chain mechanic. I know the Hatchetman is more expensive because you had to make it from scratch, but it's still only 3 mechs.
