On the One X all third party games run better, it’s exclusive in the fact that Xbox OG and 360 games are Bc (with upgrades if you have an X). You can’t play the original RDR on PS4 in 4K the way you can on Xbox. Forza is the best racing game series ever made (both horizon and the mainline). Sea of Thieves is a blast with friends, halo which will now be on gamepass, gears. I mean that’s just off the top of my head. Lol Sea of thieves and “fun” Now I know its a gimmick Before you ask your broken record questions, no I don’t work IT and yes there probably is something a little wrong with my brain. Thinking Sea of Thieves is dull is not one of those.

Sea of thieves literally put me to sleep while I played with friends. It is garbage. I like my Xbox one though. I mostly play shooters and I like the controller.

Sea of Thieves is actually a gently caress ton of fun if you like PVP. It's a non-stop salt mine of people who have apparently never heard of piracy. Just don't play it on the Xbox. People get really, really mad when you take their treasure. Even angrier when you tell them you don't care about the treasure and are just going to throw if overboard when they're dead. They devs added a rainbow flag. The community was triggered. At the same time they added a speaking trumpet so that boats far off can hear you. Now we descend on scared, angry pubbies blasting "In the Navy". Kill them a few times, take all of their poo poo and sink their boat before sailing off to find another crew to terrorize. I'm currently in a very reasonably priced airbnb in Whistler and it has a 75" LG OLED tv, to my surprise. TVs to airbnbs are like towels to hotels right, they expect to lose them once in a while...

Jumping in on the console war chat, I've been pretty much Sony exclusive console wise the past decade, but due to listeners of my radio show wanting me to review Xbox games I bought an X earlier this year. Both consoles are great and each have their fair share of exclusives I like to play, but my Xbox is getting more play time at the moment due to the fact it doesn't sound like it's about to take off like my Pro does. Saying that, it'll be the PS4 I'm spending time on from next month when Fire Pro World hits. Can't PlayStations and Xbox's just live in peace?

I would have kept my ps4 since I did like it but I don't care about anything until tlou 2 and that looks like it's eons away and will probably have a remaster on ps5 at launch.

Yeah a sound bar is a must have. Anything is better than the built in's. Especially when it comes to streaming content, it seems like every service cuts corners with their audio encoding so you get really weird audio mixes. I got some $100 Samsung with a wireless sub. No complaints in over two years. It also has Bluetooth and it's hooked up to my turntable.

Does a sound bar help with the "have to turn it up to hear people talk then turn it down when stuff blows up" problem? Please for the love of God, studios, I'm watching at home. Kids might be sleeping. Let me watch a movie without having to hold the remote.

getting a ps4 for gt sport after years of forza making GBS threads on my face with 5, 6, and 7 was the best decision i ever made. it's so satisfyingly better that i had no problem getting a racing wheel for ps4 because forza is never coming back. gt sport is the new king of console 'sim'. i got the ps4 before gtsport came out not knowing if it would be better than forza. luckily it is both good and there have been lots of exclusives that i have also enjoyed. the xbox one x i have is a piece of poo poo by comparison. Its best talent , besides being broken in ways microsoft refuses to fix, is playing 10 year old games with slightly better graphics.

i mean it's loving sad the next time i plan to boot up my xbox one x is to play halo infinity (TBA 2019-2020) and MW2 backwards compat (vaporware) yeah and funny you mention the dlc, because I paid nearly $110 each for 5,6,7 because unlocking cars without it is disgustingly bad and slow. Gtsport has released all its dlc for free. huh I always gave forza a free pass for the micro transactions, but it's the lovely laggy menus, lovely lobbies, lovely race setupsm, voice bugs, lovely campaign, crashes on pc, still haven't even gotten freaking pit crew animation. these are all issues i face personally and that we have been talking about in party chat sine forza 5. A half-way decent one will have some kind of option to do something like that, or at least boost the center channel separately which is usually going to be the dialog heavy one. My Vizio soundbar can tweak the center channel, has a 'night mode' which lowers bass, and a 'TruVolume' normalizing 'option.
