I don't know about that, but I do know that I'd love to see Family Guy do one of their alternative intro sequences based on the original Venture Bros. intro from season 1. Brian and Stewie, or Meg and Chris, or Lois and Peter, could be the running pair at the beginning.

There's been some lapses in the animation and voice acting this season but I assume that was due to trying to get it out of the door.

But yeah, seriously, they came out and told us exactly what Kano did immediately before Kano stopped talking, and we also know that the Gargantua II thing happened 10-15 years after the Venturion thing, so it's not like the two events are close enough together that there's any ambiguity. Now, of course, maybe five seconds after dispatching Robomorpho, he went and killed some other totally great man who was standing just on the other side of the statue and ran over to see what all the commotion was, and he startled Kano, and Kano just up and snapped him in half or something.

But I doubt it because that's pretty far-fetched.

Yeah, my bad I got the timeline screwed up. Also I doubt Kano considered Jonas a Great Man by the time he died, at that point it seems like the original Team Venture stuck together through inertia.

Kano was the Blue Morpho's sidekick for years before he joined Team Venture, 21 is dressing up like Kano when he henches for Monarch-as-Blue Morpho. It really makes it kinda sad that what made him stop talking was having to kill his longtime friend and leader with his bare hands.

You say that, but 1977 has more than enough famous deaths to pull off that twist

Did phantom limb sound really weird in this episode? All of his line deliveries are...off and he sounded like fuckin' stewie when he said "what the devil?".

The bounty on Blue Morpho that the Guild placed from Monarch killings Archs through the past season? Monarch claimed it by "killing" his dad under Jonas Venture, whose rear end he also kicked.

Would be interesting if Jonas came back again because of the OSI nightmare science stuff, becomes a threat, but can't understand helper anymore. Also betting that Doc kills him after he tries to use one of the boys as a new host.

There was a bounty on the original Blue Morpho that was claimed in 1976 but they don't know who claimed it.

Jonas was something like in his 40s during the 60s so he'd have been just old enough to fight in WWII probably, or maybe just inventing poo poo on the homefront.

Of course time continues to smear along in the show so it's not like anything's reliable.

I still remember listening to that tape (tape!) as soon as I could get my hands on it. Family was out of the house, I had my trusty faux Walkman, I slid in the brand new cassette, added the tiny bit of folded paper that pushed the cassette into proper alignment with the playback head to improve the treble response, I put on the headphones, and finally I listened to an hour of music that I quickly found out was NOTHING like their previous album.

I was a teenager, and somehow I didn't pick up on the meaning of "Be Aggressive" until I'd listened to it a couple of times. I was paying more attention to that amazing Jim Martin solo.

Anyway... the "BE AGGRESSIVE" cheer is a standard one. I love that they put it in the song; I'd never heard anything like that before. What's truly hilarious is that you can probably still go to the YouTube videos for "Be Aggressive" and "Be Obscene" (by Marilyn Manson), and Manson fans will occasionally accuse Faith No More of ripping off Manson's song. And I have to admit, it's a neat trick--I still can't figure out how FNM ripped off Manson 11 years before Manson released that song.
