Yeah I mean like actual custom songs / added official tracks updates.
I think they will not be doing custom songs, they have said they are working on setting up a system for it to be more of a (probably monetized) music platform like Guitar Hero etc. Letting anybody officially jam whatever they want in isn't really a system that works, but the modding community has already solved that problem.

I mean more enabling the community to create custom beat maps. I am pretty sure they have officially state they want to release an official beatmap maker and have more proper in game support and potentially workshop support. I could be crazy but I could have sworn I read this.

I have not messed with the custom plugin stuff yet, I know I should but :effort:

You are a bad. They haven’t done much with that stuff because there almost isn’t a point anymore. The modding community is amazing and has gone so far beyond what I imagined it’s really incredible.
It’s also incredibly, incredibly easy. Stop being a bad and get with the program.

Go do the mod stuff, it takes like 15 minutes at worst and then works in game, you'll never need to fiddle again. There is some bad stuff in the repo, but Gundam Style alone makes it worth it.

Speaking of Beat Saber, anyone ever get it where you load a track, and the level doesn't quite seem to load? You see some of it flashing between the loading bars and the play field, music starts, and you just fail since you're not playing. Used to be choosing retry would get past it but for the last week or so it's just gone unplayable.

The big problem here is being able to reflect other headset and controller positions with extremely low latency. Doable when each rig is running on networked workstation hardware, not so easy when everything's wireless and running on mobile chips. Lag is bad enough with online games but you won't end up with a concussion from running full speed into another player you can't see yet.

Not saying it's impossible, but I doubt that sort of thing is coming with this generation of hardware.

Wouldn't it essentially be like playing on a private lan? With latency sub 50ms? I mean if all the server side stuff was handled on a workstation, and the devices are just clients?

Leave your music comfort zone, there’s tons of good maps.

Bennydabeast, blackblazon, awfulnaut, fafurion, rustic, jewelsvr, ruckus, bomb and a handful of others I can’t remember at the moment. Look up those mappers.

Thank ya! I'm good with whatever music, was just hitting a wall of :effort: actually loading that stuff up. If it helps anyone, bypassed a lot of the :effort: part by doing it in flatscreen and searching for those names on https://beatsaver.com/browse/newest, downloading the zips, throwing them in a temp folder, selecting all and using the Right-click->7zip->"Extract to *\" option (dunno how well that works for the built in Explorer route), then moving the numbered folders over into the Beat Saber install directory->Custom Songs as described here: https://www.tldrgames.com/guide/beat-saber/how-to-download-and-play-custom-songs-in-beat-saber/. Can't actually load it up and make sure they're there at the moment and jam out on some new stuff but looking forward to it, thanks for the mapper suggestions yo.

The lightsaber duel from Return of the Jedi was surprisingly fun. There's also a Princess Bride swordfight beatmap and it's also pretty neat the way it's laid out.

Wait... can't you just install the Beatsaver plugin, click the Beatsaver button the in game, search for whatever, and click download?

1. Go here, get the mod manager: https://github.com/Umbranoxio/BeatSaberModInstaller/releases
2. Run it.
3. Check off Song Loader Plugin and BeatSaver Downloader.
4. Click Install/Update
5. Load up BeatSaber.
6. Press the BeatSaver button on the main menu.
7. Beat some sabers.

Just posting in case folks wanna go that route too, for me using a mouse and keyboard and having some thread recs up is 1000x times easier than the in game interface.

I've ignored Knockout League and either there hasn't been much threadchat about it or I glazed over? Is it good? Someone just said Punch Out in VR which sounds totes my jams

what?
Got an early phone call this morning, couldn't go back to sleep, decided to play VR both to kill time and as some morning exercise. Saw that GORN had a new update.

My arms hurt, I knocked over a huge stack of paperwork trying to spear a dude in the face, and I thwacked the ceiling lamp at least a dozen times while using the flail. I love this game.

It's 2 player local asymetric coop - one on the computer playing a platformer, one in VR modifying the environment and guiding.

It feels a lot like the magic of playing Portal 1 in that the puzzles aren't shoehorned single solution things, and there's many possible ways to go about things.

Has anyone tried running a WMR headset on integrated HD 615 graphics? I know it's below minimum specs but would it work at all and do something basic like google earth or whatever? I'm planning on picking up a headset while travelling but I'll only have an ultraportable with a Core M with me until I get back home.

Does the Z position in Beat Saber also shift the beat blocks, or does it only shift the graphics unrelated to beats? I've moved it pretty far forward but I still end up walking backwards to make the slices sync better with the blocks. I feel like the game needs an audio offset option unless it already exists somewhere that I haven't checked

What's the best underwater experience available for Oculus Rift? I just spent a day at the local aquarium and am obsessed with undersea wildlife after staring at a giant tank full of sharks for nearly an hour.

I tried an HP headset on integrated HD 5500,(8th gen versus your 9th gen), and it just straight up refused to do anything. Wouldn't even render a lag-filled environment, just said use a different PC.

Out of curiosity, I just did.

My conclusion : don't.

connected it to my GPD Win 2. I could get into the cliffhouse, but it looked like playstation 1 textures. crashed as soon as I tried to load any WMR app.
