Now that you mention it, I think he might be better as Count Fenring.

E: I can just hear the "hmmmmmmm, ahhhhhhhh" manerisms of Fenring in his voice.

It’s more fun than “good” but that’s just expectation tweaking. If you can find a copy for non crazy amounts of money it’s the ultimate dune fan bathroom book.

Had we turned left instead, we may have encountered something like this...
It’s out of print, but it’s certainly out there in a couple different convenient forms for those interested. An obnoxious amount of stuff about the weather on Arrakis, plus weird future Shakespeare conspiracy theories. I believe it covers up to God Emperor.

Yeah it's actually a fun book, and iirc it met with Herbert's approval despite taking a lot of weird, nerdy liberties with the technology and history, and not actually being canon, but it's all done with care and the zaniness in the Encyclopedia is 100x better and more thoughtful than Lord Cybertrex or Paul fighting an evil clone of himself or whatever.

Off the top of my head it covers:
  • The Holzmann Effect/Lasgun-shield explosions
  • No rooms
  • The creation of the Orange Catholic Bible
  • A completely made up chemical structure for melange
  • something about soostones
  • A big fat list of all the previous Emperors in the Corrino dynasty
  • An article on literally any other thing even tangentially mentioned in the first four books
