How does Finnish cop show compare to other Scandinavian (yes, yes, Finnland is not technically Scandinavia) crime stuff? Closer to the "Edgy Serial Killer"-type stuff or closer to the "Everything is hosed, the welfare state is a lie"-stuff?

I'm only three episodes into this one (Deadwind) and it seems to be shaping up into a "these people are all terrible and have lots of secrets but only one of them did the murder" kind of show. It makes Helsinki look like quite a pleasant place, though.

moose get bigger the further up in latitude you go too. like the moose down in utah or colorado or new york compared to the ones up in far north canada, the north canada ones can be 3 times larger so you get people who think they know how to handle moose from dealing with the small ones and then get completely wrecked by hubris
