This company is acting exactly like scumbag 3rd party debt collectors. I know this situation well, just with less Hitler. Maybe Higbee himself has a degree from a bottom barrel law school. Everyone else in the office like Shauntice is a call center worker who gets paid barely above minimum wage with the opportunity for bonuses if they can actually catch any fish, which motivates them to be scumbag assholes. They turn over every 3 months like any call center job -- if you start an email back and forth Shauntice will disappear because she realized driving Uber is less soul-crushing. They'll use language like "referred for pre-litigation". In the debt collector world they actually have to be a bit more careful about it because the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act reigns them in a little bit and establishes penalties for falsely representing yourself as a lawyer or making legal threats you don't intend to follow through on.

And for some COMPLETELY UNRELATED REASON BEYOND LOWTAX'S CONTROL - hello.jpg is posted there, multiple times, by a gaggle of internet users all of various different IP addresses... then would Higby and Associates be required to sue themselves for copyright infringement?
