This is the HURRICANE thread so last post on this but Mangkhut is projected to have 149 MPH sustained winds when it hits Hong Kong in about 30 hours. LOL I was there day 0 of the recovery efforts in PR for Maria we already knew the death toll was going to be in the hundreds 2 days after the hurricane hit, when we activated both of our mortuary affairs units and told them to get their MIRCS ready to go to the forensic institute ASAP. The comms situation was so bad that we couldn't get the word out to the personnel to tell them that they were activated, they would come in to report at the unit to say they were fine and we would tell them to go back to their house, pack up all their uniforms and get ready to mobilize inside the island.
