the machine was called The Egg, because it was shaped like an egg. Eggless travel is just interdimensional travel that presupposes the existence of The Egg (like, pagan magic or psychic stuff or whatever instead of using The Egg). From what I could gather, some folks did not realize the Ong's Hat stories were collaborative fiction and not, like, "real" conspiracy theory

It's probably also worth pointing out that he conflates all minorities and criminals with 'the left'. It's a kind of No True Scotsman of it's own, the Right are god fearing law abiding (White) citizens therefore all crime is committed by the left.
