Nixon's campaign was "I'm not Cuomo and I will fix the subways." She had no media presence - I watch the Yankees most nights and there were about 10 Cuomo ads per game. Did she even have a TV buy? It's not too shocking that Democratic primary voters weren't wild about a celeb candidate, never mind the machine working against her. All the "serious" candidates were scared off.
