I don't particularly like Animal Crossing but it's cool they're actually making a game the fans desperately want instead of a 3ds arena brawler with a beloved license slapped on it

I think they've had a animal crossing on every Nintendo console since the n64, even the Wii U, so I don't know why people thought it would never happen on their most successfully selling hardware in like two decades.

the only one I ever played was starfox adventures and I couldn't get past the part where you had to mash A to pass a test of strength in a lizard village

Star Fox Adventures isn't very good but it's a bad Zelda clone so it's nothing like any other SF game

there was no full animal crossing on wii u, just that awful board game, so it was more people itching to get the next one sooner rather than later, since we all assumed it was coming

Star Fox Assault was good--even the ground level parts which isn't a popular opinion I think--but the story was extremely weird. Something about cicadas and Fox's dad talking to him from beyond the grave.

I played... Command? And the story was completely insane. There are like a hundred characters including octoman from f zero for some loving reason . also I think pigma is a cube?

64 is the only good one. the most hosed up thing about assault is that the first level is incredible, and is everything star fox should be, but theres like 3 other ship/tank levels and the other 80% of the game is awful bullshit

the multiplayer in assault owned though lol

its so weird. everything about it has nothign to do with star fox and its all about fox trying to have sex with the fox babe, while dinosaurs mumble in their fake language about the cosmos. ive gone back to watch video of it for the same reason and it seems like a fake game.

64 was amazing and is still a lot of fun. I have some fond memories of assault but for the most part it was a mess. The rest are trash and proof you don't need all the fluff around it to make a good Star Fox game.

Unrelated but someone in this thread said that in Mario Odyssey there was a hidden kingdom entrance somewhere in the sandwich kingdom? I beat the game and don't remember that and Google is doing nothing but telling me where hidden moons are. Can anyone elaborate or give a link? tia
