So basically, this jerk cop was telling me to carry a concealed weapon for the purpose of stabbing someone instead of peeling an apple or notching a board where it needed to be cut. It was loving dumb.

Oh man that reminds me of the time I opened a box in front of the new guy (from NYC) at work and he was like, "hey, so you seem a little more liberal than these other guys around here, what's with everybody carrying knives all the time?" and I look down at the cardboard box I just cut open and looked at him like he was crazy and said "uhhh we open a lot of boxes around here" and then it dawned on me and I told him "Oh yeah I guess that could be a weapon, never thought of it that way. You know we're probably the only two people in this building that aren't carrying guns right now, right?"

Times i don’t assume it’s a white power sign: Someone is trying to level a big picture frame and looking back to someone else at a distance who gives the OK symbol when it’s level. Times I assume it’s white power: Some right wing activist or cop or some such super obviously throws it up for a photo or video out of loving nowhere while others are doing no such thing.

I kinda agree... Not with the overdone tyranny comment because lol etc., but with the immediate escalation with no discernible warning, at least not to me. To be fair, only in one of the cases, though. If people get told repeatedly not to lust for cop death and can't deal with that because MUH FREE Speech, whatever, slam em, I get that. Forum rules and all. But from the point where EBB said no more "bad shoot" / cop chat, to today, I saw nothing else in the direction of "don't even post an ironic ACAB lest you get hit with 30 days" I mean, there's a KKKcops thread on these here forums where people run off your casual ACAB like it's brushing your teeth in the morning. So I'd just appreciate a clarification on this whole situation if that's cool. Because I'm pretty sure most people in here can and want to discuss events involving institutional racism - especially current events - like grown ups. Overwrites on the probations are in the mod queue. That's my bad- I got to a point of frustration yesterday at the way some of you are acting. However, I have asked time and again if there is anything new to add beyond "Institutional racism is a real and systemic problem and police are murdering people every day". The previous statement is a fact and I do not disagree with any of you. However, these discussion continually devolve into threats of violence or white noise about the problems with American policing. Some of you are straight up obstinate when I ask you to knock it off. If you want better moderation, try posting better as well.
