Looks like it's trying way too hard to be Earthbound and failing IMO. he's right about the difficulty, though permanently setting it to Easy mode brings it closer to classic Earthbound and away from a demented Earthbound ROMhack he's off-base about the writing, though, at least the parts that he talks about. the game has plenty of structure to it - the first mission introduces you to the Bad Thing threatening the world (whose presence and identity is made abundantly clear) and then you spend much of the remainder romping through different continents to re-unite the main character's family members, who also double as your party. the real issue is the "it's all just a dream" thing, which makes some of the symbolism really obvious and doesn't make the stakes feel as pressing as they would in Earthbound itself

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is goty, though 6 only loses out because of no cabaret club. Fist of the Northstar night over take it though.

It's sort of taking inking used for calligraphy classical Japanese landscapes, then using it to draw people with a lot of detail and modernity. Least that's what it looks like to me. Thick ink brush outlines and water colour.
