I saw that earlier and it made me stop and think about how those paint jobs are actually done. I assumed a giant stencil was involved, rendering typos impossible. I guess I was wrong.

A friend of mine years ago worked for a Mazda dealership, and they were delivering a bunch of vans to a carpet cleaning company called Cheap As Chips. They sent the vans off to have the vinyl decals applied. One of then came back with Cheap As Cheap on one side, and Chips As Chips on the other. Cathay Pacific I would expect better from, though, especially getting to the point where photos of it are all over social media.

Supposedly they do use stencils, so I'm not sure how that happened--although we've all seen those signs painted on the road that read SOTP and SHCOOL and SCOHOL, so I suppose it's not beyond the realm of possibility that you can still gently caress up with stencils.
