One of the panels on the next page is kind of weird since it shows him still holding a sword, but I'm guessing that's an art mistake since the others show his hands and scabbard empty until the catch.

She barely escaped being thrown under the bus and getting eaten by the Monster King like the cockroach dude since neither of them managed to kill any heroes. I very much enjoyed it alot because you see Murata evolve through the series and starts to become the artist he is today. Just avoid the near end of it cuz god does it get bad. Writing wise that is.

The racist bit in ES21 is bad but it is thankfully A) racist in an ignorant, not hateful way and B) contained to one game and does not affect the rest of the series until that character briefly comes back right at the end. And yeah some of the "special abilities" in ES21 are off the all absurd or just normal poo poo played up that way and it is all fantastic. It's my #2 favorite manga.
