At least the Lions were competitive against the Jets until the 3rd quarter!

Some very smart people think the Lions may win some football games. We'll have to wait and see.

Now that raises a good question. The Vikings and Packers are both 1-1-1. Are the Vikings worse because they lost to the Bills? Or are the Packers worse because they couldn't beat the team who lost to the Bills PLUS lost another game?

WHOOPS posted:Now that raises a good question. Packers defense is much worse than the Vikings. But the Packers have Rodgers, who, with one good leg, is enough for them to win 9-10 games this year. Whoever wins the division is going to get bounced out of the playoffs in a hilarious way anyway. But really looking around the NFC, all the teams looks pretty bad. The Rams look good, and that's about it really.

American McGay posted:Rodgers with one good leg couldn't beat the Redskins. I don't know man, Rodgers made some amazing throws and was seriously let down by the supporting cast on every crucial drive even as Washington let off the gas and gave them the perfect opportunity to come back. I don't know how I feel about muh team right now, but a gimpy Rodgers won't be the achilles heel. We're 3 weeks in and the biggest questions I have about the Packers are whether the o-line is going to be okay for a full season because the idea of having to start Spriggs at any position in the line scares the poo poo out of me, and if the defense can mature enough to play 1 full, consistent game of decent football.

No bloody way the Packers choose to sit Rodgers on a divisional game. Fat Mike may as well quit. He needs short term success. For fucks sake, Patricia is so fat I can't even call the Packers coach fat anymore.

Is it just me or did Vic Fangio immediately start to get more out of Khalil Mack every week than the Raiders ever did?

Mack has a MUCH better supporting cast than he ever had in OAK. I'd imagine good coaching still helps, but teams can't really focus on doubling/tripling him as much as they probably did before.

https://twitter.com/RobDemovsky/status/1044710620858404864 Pretty good pick up considering House is getting moved to IR for his shoulder, then again almost anyone is an upgrade compared to House at this point. Maybe they move Williams to FS at this point but I'd rather see the Packers try and trade for Earl Thomas since they have the assets or at the very least sign Eric Reid, as much of a long shot that is.

Wait... you can get players on your team that you didn't draft??? Good god. If only someone had mentioned that to Ted Thompson ten years ago, everything could be different! Tr-ayed. Tr-ayed? Trade. TRADE! Wow. How did I not know this was a thing?
