Better than bolt on flares, in my opinion. Too bad it wasn't to fit a racing spec, though. People who modify cars like that generally make cars completely undrivable for more than ten minutes at a time, the get rid of it to some poor soul who doesn't know what they're getting into. Then they buy another car to ruin until their taste improves or run out of money.

I don't care about the flare, just finish that last weld, finish as desired but leave all the beading exposed/clearcoated. Maybe do a fancy pinstriping to make it pop some more. Kinda want to see it on a lowrider, to be honest.

Props to the guy, it looks better finished than I'd expected but still don't know that it looks good. I like over fenders more than widebody stuff though.

Did you know Lancia made a sedan with a Ferrari V8? I didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3rHl4DH-fY Interesting that they changed the crank from a flat-plane to a 90-degree, so it ends up sounding more like a traditional American V8, though it's still got the revs.' And that retractable wing is the business. A+ would drive.

A flat-plane is much easier to build a performance exhaust for, or something, due to the firing order.

Yes since flatplanes introuduce a lot of additional vertical vibration and the exhaust note offends NVH types, and Yes, though advances in engine tech make that much less of a factor. A high strung, high revving v8 need not be a flatplane, but the design is very easy to make lightweight compared to the crossplane so it gets used in racing.

Lancias 8:32 are infamous in mechanical reliability even by italian standards, the ferrari engine requires very skilled specialist mainteinance to avoid grenading and the gearbox is fragile. The lancia part (interior and exterior design) is absolutely stunning but imho a standard thema from a good owner will provide most of the 8:32 experience without the engine gremlins. But if you feel daring the price is not that high https://www.autoscout24.it/annunci/lancia-thema-lancia-ferrari-8-32-benzina-rosso-1830b6de-f01a-46aa-8f02-6c206ae1bf03?cldtidx=6

Darchangel posted:Did you know Lancia made a sedan with a Ferrari V8? I didn't. This car is in my dream garage. Sadly, as mentioned above, you can get a late-model turbo4 LX trim one that is slightly faster than the 8.32 and with the same Poltrona Frau interior, while being WAY, WAY cheaper to maintain as well as more reliable. I'm currently looking for a wagon version to daily. The 8.32 sounds so, so good though.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=082gW-jC7fU

Yeah I don't think anyone made an RWD Type Four. Alfa made an AWD but it was still transverse. I bet they changed the crank because, like the LS4, they had to shorten the crank to get it to fit into an FWD setup.

drat, talk about the right credentials: "his family began receiving sales enquiries, both for the whole car and for its parts, but they didn’t want it going into someone else’s hands just to be repainted and reengineered. Which is where longtime friend and suspension man, Klaus Wohlfarth, founder of KW Suspensions, stepped up... his only intention was to preserve the car for prosperity."
