business people use excel for everything because every time they try anything else it gets EOL'ed or breaks in some horrible fashion in a year or two a friend of mine put himself through college in the 90s fixing broken foxpro apps

some of the first b2b stuff i did in an earlier job was fixing an access/vb invoicing system that would poo poo the bed on a regular basis. bonus: when tax rates changed you had to fork a new version, because all the balances and totals were calculated on the fly in the form that printed the invoice.

iirc netflix does not use silverlight anymore, but iirc you still need to use edge to get the best streaming experience? maybe the uwp app as well
