My parents went from Regular Old Conservatives to a lovely libertarian and a chud who cried both times Obama won. I probably would've registered Republican if I had registered when I was 18 because I hadn't seen how loving stupid American conservatism is. I'm 31 now and am registered independent because a lot of Democrats are spineless Martin Prince wieners, but I vote for them because they're not actively trying to kill my friends.

I was dumb and voted for Bob Barr in 2008. I was 19 and thankfully started growing out of that stage of my life pretty soon after that. By the 2010 midterms I fully hated Republicans and saw Libertarians for the phony assholes they are. Scott Walker's shenanigans were proof to me that there was no going back.

I'm trying to envision the kind of person who has literally never interacted with a drunk European, and I'm fairly sure the only way to achieve that is by never going to Europe or any moderately sized tourist destination. Or living someplace that also would not have access to the internet, let alone Twitter.

i only know a few people who have switched parties but a ton of people i know have been blackpilled by politics over the last 10 years. they either stopped voting or vote establishment democrat while admitting they suck (a few voted trump because he at least pretended to be anti-establishment) some would be far left if they were exposed to it but most are "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" types who are smart enough to realize that the republican party doesn't represent fiscal conservatism, but not smart enough to understand why that ideology sucks

Drinking a bottle of wine on some church steps at night or a can of beer while waiting for your plane at CDG are memories I'll treasure forever. Some of my activities with family in Europe is sitting around, drinking vodka, having a good time and eventually stumbling into bed.
