I understand that other trans people like and relate to Bowsette, and I am not trying to discount their experiences and feelings. But generally when something like this creates polarized feelings within a marginalized group, the answer is to exercise a modicum of discretion and empathy and boundary-recognition, and instead of doing any of that some people have just been real dicks all like "HOW COULD YOU NOT ENJOY THIS".

I'm amazed that anybody could look at bowsette and be like 'this is empowering', but I haven't really looked into it at all. I just kind of thought people were having fun with toadette's magical ranma crown. Although i guess it wasn't ranma'd until internet people got a hold of it  I don't especially care though. And I definitely dont want to upset anybody pointlessly

My issue with Bowsette is her name. 'Toadette' becomes 'Peachette' with the crown, right? So 'Bowser' should become 'Peacher' or 'Peawser' or maybe 'Bowseach'

That's (like many things) reseteras fault. The original comic and subsequent art didn't babe the character. The restera thread about it came up with the baby in the OP and title even though it's nonsensical

I've been playing a lot more handheld since I moved, and it would be cool to play Ikaruga and some of the vertical arcade titles on the full screen, but it also seems like a fully unnecessary accessory. At least it's cheap.
