I'm very pleased the one where you shake the entire controller is super easy. Ice minigame isn't bad either but I can't imagine how ballbusting it would be without a playstation's flat face buttons.

I can barely manage the ice picking one at level 3. I usually clear it with less than a second left.

Why are you assholes letting him walk away with his head not asploded FUUUUUCK. Ahem. Shining orbs are from chapter clears and star from leveling. Where exactly do you get mind, body and skill orbs beyond what story progression gives you? Mini-games, sub-stories, the works? Is there a sub-story radar like in Kiwami, and if so where is it?

3 star bartending hasn't given me any trouble which makes a change because I'm usually terrible at these type of minigames due to being an uncoordinated spaz. Ice picking - just to your thumb right in the middle of the 4 face buttons and just roll it against the edges of the buttons in a circle. May not work if you have tiny thumbs but I can clear 3 star with 6-7 seconds to spare every single time, even with a few mistakes thrown in. Stirring - use the palm of your hand and just go nuts. Shaking - it doesn't need to be as severe a motion as you expect, but using 2 hands like the game suggests makes it way easier because you can use very short sharp motions without worrying about accidentally launching it across the room. They can all be finished with at least 5 seconds to go.

It has come to my attention that when you fight Jagi there is a segment where the camera goes into first person.. I’m not sure but I thiiiiink it might be a reference to the FOTNS movie, where this scene happens. If so, that’s hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzhqQ8NZDQw

What's the difference between "a perfect strike" and "a O perfect strike" because that's the same goddamn button you press to do the thing but I can't get death cry no 3 to trigger, I just keep getting no 5. Is it just luck? Edit: looks like it is just luck, got it randomly History Comes Inside! fucked around with this message at 12:32 on Oct 7, 2018 |

I got a mind orb from fighting a bunch of goons in the desert is this just random? Speaking random do the treasure maps come back if you don't find them because some treasures spawned places where I literally couldn't get to, also are maps how you find the arcades? There's too much random stuff in this for my liking but I'm possibly just salty because I tried fighting the 'Rei-style' dude in the colosseum and he literally dodged every single attack I did and killed me. I seriously hate the bosses in this.

You can straight up buy them from the store at the Colosseum, for instance. And the intermediate level of the first race gives a skill, I believe. The doctor mini game gave a body for passing one song.

I know like 2 people who stopped playing Kiwami because of this. I think you also just have to learn that Rush is the best style to use against individual dangerous enemies, i.e. most bosses. (it doesn't work against Jingu, who I "solved" by using Beast and repeatedly throwing one MIA captain into the other one) My least favorite series boss is actually that dance instructor from 5 who isn't much of a threat but just keeps spamming a low damage takedown move on you. Okay if there's one thing I don't like about Lost Paradise is that they'll give you treasure maps when you can't leave Eden. That's a dick move game.

Steve Yun posted:It has come to my attention that when you fight Jagi there is a segment where the camera goes into first person.. Either way, here is reason why. Jagi has Rei and Airi tied up, at spear point. If Ken moves from his current spot, they both die. So naturally, you're locked in. However, the battle immediately after this is a regular fight vs Jagi, due to Nadai saving Rei.

PSA, beeline at least for Toki's second move, it's a loving godsend both against trash and boss battles. It's spend a star from the gauge to enter a counter stance for ~1 second, if you get hit you cancel most* attacks and immediately jump in the air ready to rain down death and destruction (assuming you also have the air moves unlocked). *can't counter ki blasts and projectiles, anything melee is fair game as far as I tested E: if there's an unlock to followup the dive-kick with a secret technique on broken enemies I'd like to know. The major weak point of this counter is that bosses go dirt napping afterwards, briefly safe from the might of Hokuto Omobono fucked around with this message at 16:24 on Oct 7, 2018 |

Yes get this move. It's extremely useful against the big axe/hammer wielding dudes or anyone else that you couldn't normally block although if you use it against the hammer guys it turns out being in the air does not protect you from their shockwave slam, womp womp

I'm real disappointed that 85 and 87 aren't good enough for haruka at karaoke. She said good, great, I love it after each segment, but is kickin her shoe asking me if I have a cold after its over. I wasn't planning on platinum'ing the game but I had wanted to complete haruka's food sampling whims.

How is the town/side-quests/activities in FotNS? I don't know if it was just it being a demo segment but it felt really sterile and lifeless compared to Kamurocho in the little bit I got to play. Kamurocho/Sotenbori feel like actual places people lived and worked in but the FotNS town felt more like a videogame level, if that makes sense.

In FOTNS, anyone have any tips re: the casino? I am notoriously bad at most gambling stuffs and it seems to be the only source of specific augite for the talismans, which sucks since they're hideously pricey. I've yet to work out a good way to earn a reasonable amount of chips short of the standard save-scumming trick.

Whatever you don't kill, you can just mop up with perfect channeling instant kills to get seven star points back. You can get the points back even faster if you have the skill that charges your seven star gauge if you overkill an enemy. There's a Hokuto Technique you can unlock that can insta-kill an attacker if you're near someone in meridian shock so just being near circle-vulnerable people can lead to openings to insta-kill 2 enemies at once, again for more energy. Kenshiro is a monster of a man when it comes to fighting. Crabtree posted:Who ever thought up the quicktime events for the bar segments, please, gently caress yourself. Less strainful and I manage to clear 3-star jobs with 4-5 seconds left.

Yeah thats what I was doing for the 2nd arena fight. Unfortunately I was playing on hard so not everyone died, there were 4 big dudes left, 2 with bladed weapons and 2 with big polearms and they just turbofucked me to death once my burst mode ran out.
