You basically control the narrative, you don't have to take a bump, and I'm not sure I've ever heard about one of these interviews falling apart because Sean Oliver or whatever didn't like how it was going. It's an easy payday. Of course, there's also the story of Nash doing a show for that company that used to run out of Watertown, NY that used a lot of known names; he did a personal appearance on camera for an angle or whatever, promoter asked him to run (read: saunter, since it's Nash and he hasn't run since the '96 Olympics, probably) out and powerbomb someone ("I need you to stick the winner", even) in the main event, Nash said that means you double my appearance fee, promoter incredibly agrees, Nash complies.
