Probably not the only one to say this, but what the gently caress is a Prairie? Apparently a 2 door Hyundai coupe that already existed and was a Simeon car, but I can't say that I've ever run into one. Laffo if the $2,500 price tag is correct. It looks alright for a <checks notes>, compact? class if you're role playing driving to work at the Fed Ex simulator factory

I know a ton of people on reddit at least have been salty over R* not doing Futo liveries. I shuffled some garages and now have a 10 spot for ridiculous livery cars, so I'm ready for this!

The Z types racing around the tiny track at the airport in that one vehicle sourcing mission was just adorable :allears: I felt genuinely guilty about shooting the driver.

Everyone else has been living it for two years now but for me it's new just how freaking fast you can make money with the businesses. I'm earning in days what would've taken weeks post-heist update and months pre-heist update. I've already got my Bunker maxed out, a Hangar and 2.6 million in the bank to get a Large Warehouse, which I know has big setup costs. Fortunately my Bunker is full so I can make a ~$600,000 sale. It won't be fun for that long but for now I've adopted the tactic, when I'm home, of just leaving GTA running with my vehicle sale on cooldown while I (mostly) do other poo poo. I of course play in windowed (using a macro to quickly alternate with fullscreen and tab out w/o minimizing the game. For the performance benefits.) and fullscreen windowed to get the merciful 15min idle time instead of the retarded 2min they should have extended to at least 5min ages ago. Occasionally it's time to sit down and do other poo poo, but now that All In Order is done I really do just mainly need more cash for buying businesses. I was worried before about losing shipments and such once I had businesses but even having an I/E garage alone and being competent means I'll be able to dig out of any financial 'hole' I ever get in. The dead aim NPCs in vehicle sales are mildly annoying but honestly I've yet to lose a top-end car in a sale mission (except one I drove into a lagoon), and the most I've EVER lost to gunfire is $21k. Usually it's more like $2-3k. Specialist dealers are the only dealers.

edit: If there were Corporate mottos, mine would be Dyacorum Corporation. Building Power through Force.
Also it's stupid that you can't save outfit choices for your business. Having to select it every time you register as CEO makes it not worth it.

If you max out all of your nightclub businesses, you can make about 900k every day without even trying. Just leave gta open, retire from ceo and any other businesses and watch tv in your ceo office or appartment. Log back in, setup a sell mission in an empty lobby, lather rinse repeat.

Since the nightclub update, I've been able to go back to roleplaying the absurd psychopath that I've always wanted to be.

Getting the $1m bonus from Loyalty was in no loving way a realistic option, instead I slowly stumbled through all the heists with Randoms. Sometimes it was brutally bitchy, like completing the Series A Lost MC stealth mission, Pacific standard-Bikes, Humane Labs-Deliver EMP, and the Series A-Sawmill mission with those Bensons. A couple times I completed difficult setups first try with low level players, like Prison Break-Station. People would often ask for Hard, but I would generally choose Normal for setups and most successes ended with 0 lives left. Sometimes it was awesome, like after I finally got a group to finish Deliver EMP, we went right on to the heist itself and blew through it first try. Pacific Standard finale was extremely smooth, got a Korean guy who did the helicopter trick, he spent like 5 minutes setting everything up, had to fail and quick restart once to get it to work, but was super worthwhile. Also the Prison Break finale was insanely brutal, despite using the Kuruma trick I failed over and over due to every reason you could imagine. One time I even got a 'HEIST FAILED' abruptly in the middle of the parachuting cutscene near the end because Demolitions died. Failures usually meant the heist crew giving up entirely. Twice during Prison Break finale attempts I had hackers in my group, the first time we got to the end and failed anyways, the second time we just kept loving trying and I didn't even use the Kuruma, with him blowing up the guards in the prison and keeping Rashkovsky running at top speed the whole time attempt after attempt until finally landing the Velum and getting inside actually succeeded and Demolitions didn't die somehow. Basically everything you'd expect to happen in GTA:Online Heists did happen. Back in '15 I was planning to definitely do All in Order, Loyalty, Elite Challenge and maybe even Criminal Masterminds, but getting a group together for that is really unrealistic. Oh and I forgot to mention this was a week ago when the 'job failed to load' bug was rampant, it made starting new setups and inviting people not work often times and take forever. I played Team Games at the Master league level in Starcraft II for many years and almost never could we get the same team of 4 guys to show up multiple nights in a row to play 4v4s, even when we planned pretty strongly to do so. There'd always be one guy who wasn't quite available or on rare occasions, had time to play a few games but then someone else had to leave. All in Order is the most minimal low-hanging fruit of those and the only one I could reasonably do alone, even though it was frustrating.

Also I did the Nightclub trick last night, left the game running for 8 hours, Only have 2 businesses with a nightclub staffer on each and can't afford the nightclub upgrades so the Underground Warehouse made $70k, the Nightclub business made $51k. Got $200,000 in Bunker stock ($300,000 selling Los Santos). Not too huge but definitely still worth it. I also took decent advantage of the discounts last week, 50% off CEO office, Bunker, and Hangar. Wish I'd had more to spend. I notice you cannot remove the Cuban from the hangar without a workshop. It seems like after it's destroyed it's no longer the default option on the interaction menu though so I'll leave it like that.

edit: Did the nightclub trick in an invite only session and it worked. Also put my PC on borderless windowed and 1280x720 resolution to lower the stress on my videocard. Wonder if it still works if the window isn't focused? Don't use a public lobby as even if you start it out solo, eventually people will join, and eventually the hackers that can forcibly invite you to your own apartment, then force you to leave your own apartment, then blow you up repeatedly, then quick respawn you and blow you up again. Whenever I see 'Dyacorum has invited you to their apartment' I know I have about 5 seconds to Alt-F4. I hope that poo poo never happens in a sell mission, would be a nightmare. Probably will at some point.

When I came back today obviously my nightclub popularity was 0. I'm not gonna grind the missions, but as a first time thing I did a popularity mission, got half a bar of popularity, incredibly not worth it. I did a second mission half an hour later, came back immediately and my popularity was 0! Is this a bug of some kind? Apparently the best way to keep popularity is to re-book DJs. I won't bother with popularity on a consistent basis until I have the staff upgrades and some money to spare.

Popularity is a nice little drip of $$ but maintaining it is stupid. The missions are like you say 1/2 a bar, so 10 missions to fill it. Booking a DJ for the first time costs $100,000, theres a little mission, and assuming you finish it you go up to a full pop bar. If you change back to an already unlocked DJ it's only $10,000 and it gets you half a bar. This resets your wallsafe income to $10k/day ($20k/day while its on special). It stays at the $10k value for the first 2 clicks of the bar, so a full bar and no refills will get you 10 + 10 + 9 + 8 + ... Again theres a ton of nerd math to min/max this and keep rollin.

If you want to fill the bar with changing DJs, go to any of the computer terminals in the storage areas, *NOT* the one in the club office. From the club office, every time you change it does a quicktime event and drops you back at your front door. From one of the basement terminals, you can just click-click-click and not take forever to walk back

AFAIK the pop bar decreases at in-game 00:00, so if you refill it and the time is 23:55, in :05 its going to go down a click. Its a feature, not a bug! If the safe is full at $70k, it stops accumulating, and theres no way to get "back pay"

I like the missions once in a while, however grinding them would probably be a sign of brain damage. I suppose realistacally you could get to full pop and then do one mission a day to keep it that way? Or 2 back to back every 2 days to take advantage of that little bump

Other than cash, the perks of having a full-ish pop bar are
1) making some drinks available - can't slam the mind eraser if you got no repuation, and some of the high end champagnes drop off the menu at different threshholds
2) If you're above 4 bars, you can smoke blunts in the chill room by the upstairs bar one of the IRL dj's is anti-drug so if they're the house band, its replaced with a cig instead

Oh and just for curiosity/science/pure masochism, last night I joined into a nearly full 26 person lobby, and quietly started a small($40k?) nightclub sale. All the dots were pretty spread out, everyone just doing whatever, there were a few other various sales and supply missins going on... basically a NORMAL lobby.

About 10 seconds after the global signal went off, my smoking crater of a delivery vehicle came to rest about 50ft from the first drop off point.

Eregos, you can go afk while watching tv in your apartment during a mission. That way, your stock builds but you won't spend money on utilities. You don't have to weight a key or rubber band a controller either

I don't know if this will prevent popularity from dropping, but club popularity is b.s. The time spent on popularity missions is not worth the payout, having a blunt, ,or Macbeth whiskey on hand imo

It was either that or just skip All in Order entirely. Most of the time these days there aren't even 4 people in the LLJK crew online at once. At least it's done and I have businesses now.

I might try out this FiveM business at some point. I've played plenty of private servers in the past, there just has to be an actual activity level. I knew going in a few weeks ago GTA Online had few active goon players, the experience was as I expected. I just have the time and inclination to play right now. I actually played SA:MP with Wee_Bairns (It was a long time ago, I initially remembered it as Brains) and the goon crew back in '07-'08, had a great time. Properly netcoded multiplayer like GTA Online was just a dream back then. Also was one of the first to get onboard Floormaster's Private TF2 server back then, 2F2F was one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time. Before that, there was Wafflehouse and KFS in BF 2142 and BF2.

It didn’t use up my nightclub popularity or generate income, and the underground warehouse appeared unchanged. Overall not as good as watching the nightclub DJ stream in an invite only session. I had at least $100,000 less, indicating I was paying utility bills during those 8 hours. I launched a contact mission from a (solo) public session, if it makes any difference.

I thought about trying MTA but never did. The SA:MP Goon server was more popular for longer iirc. I remember we did flying schoolbus some nights, loaded people inside the stupidly undertextured cargo plane, and of course jumped the giant dump truck with 15 goons in the back off Chiliad. Not to mention when some of us were given admin powers and started constructing crazy sky ramps. That last part at least made it into GTA:Online. Though nothing in GTA:Online has ever quite compared to the mindless chaos of the 120 player SA:MP public lobbies, with utterly lovely laggy territorial warfare going on at all times. And 5+ hackers on the server at every moment raising chaos across the entire map.

While you cannot teleport to the Terrorbyte, I've taken to parking it outside my Richard's Majestic high-end apartment, teleporting there with the Lester invite as a proxy. If I park it right, I can enter the Nerve Center in a couple steps, then exit straight into the street. At least I can cut out the return journey from every job. So far my biggest beef with the Terrorbyte is the loving secretary calls you the exact millisecond :argh: you launch a mission. I'm forced to cancel it to get out faster. Would be nice if she would just wait 3 seconds so I see if it was one I hadn't heard, then listen while making progress towards the objective. Instead, if it's new to listen I have to wait.

The Chumash bunker is still better but I wish I'd thought of buying the 'Great Ocean Highway' personal property when I had the Zancudo bunker. It's only $31k and you can set it as a spawn location, 30 seconds up the road from Zancudo Bunker. Same logic could be applied to other bunker locations. Unfortunately there are no Chumash personal properties. The saving grace is you don't have to go to Bunkers often. But when I do being able to set it as a spawn location when I join the next session is nice. It's great I set it as 'nightclub' when I'm ready to start an invite only session and turn in for the night.

MTA:SA was amazing and easily the most fun I've ever had in a Grand Theft Auto game.

I remember playing on some RP server as a mechanic and sitting in that big parking lot under the freeway where everybody would go to show off their cars and race and just raking in cash when they eventually crashed due to the lovely server lag. Of course, if they didn't crash then I would just shoot their tyres out from a distance instead to make some money :)

Edit: The only things I've done in GTA online that come close are flying around in a Cargobob and stealing personal vehicles/carrying a goon in a tank shooting at people, and of course dropping tanks/vehicles covered in sticky bombs on top of people.

Edit2: Also that dumb capture the flag custom job set on a football field with merryweather helicopters shooting rockets at you the entire time and the car basketball job on PS4 were pretty good too I guess.
