drat this game still kicks rear end! Was worried I'd be burned out in a week like I usually am but no I've played an ungodly amount and I'm stoked to play all weekend. I'm also someone who's never touched Zombies before but I'm kind of getting into it now -- and it's great, because now when I feel broken and defeated in one mode, I'll switch to one of the two others and keep playing. I'm honestly just impressed at how much content is in this one package edit: although I've gotta say, while I didn't think I'd miss the story mode, the intel bits and cutscenes you unlock from specialist training are batshit crazy and now that I've seen them I'm a little resentful we won't see another Black Ops story for like 3 years because I want to see where they're going with this. also the performance for Frank Woods is amazing lol I could listen to him talk for hours goferchan fucked around with this message at 06:40 on Oct 19, 2018 |

Haven't seen this posted yet so- There's a pretty ridiculous bug in blackout on PC that allows you to deploy your wingsuit on demand at any height. You can also jump while running on level ground and deploy it which puts you in a super janky animation, making you nearly impossible to hit. You can cross open fields relatively safely because your character model will be bouncing all over the place while you spam your wingsuit. You can chain together run -> jump -> wingsuit -> repeat. All you do is jump and then hit num pad 3. You can rebind it though, it's something along the lines of "change to seat 3" in the keybinds under vehicles. You need to expand a submenu to see it. I rebound it to a mouse button. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Remember, with tens or hundreds of thousands of players online, there's nothing wrong with picking up your ball and looking for an easier match up. You bought the game to have fun, not do more work.

I solo queue only and play Chaos TDM and win about 50/50 of the time on PS4. The matches always seem pretty well balanced. Is it different across platforms or have I just been lucky?

I tend to run solo more often than in groups and it's one of those things you either loathe or love. Prestiging was the worst thing I ever did. Not having dead silence made me just freeze up when people set off my acoustic sensor. Like, I'd go full living statue and hope they'd not see me. So really they need to add emotes which are static so I can do cool living statue and mime poses when I'm below level 18.

Is going Nuketown ever worth it? My buddy and I have dropped there once and the loot was poo poo and the circle was a marathon away. I did 1800 damage in a game yesterday and didn’t get any downs or kills. Hitmarker city.

If you look on the map at Nuketown Island, there is a circular bay on the south of the island, and there's an entrance to the underground bunker there. Should have plenty of time the next couple days though. I think the biggest issue for me with the matchmaking is it feels like there's always like 4 people in the match that are just utterly stomping everyone else. I don't know why this dude running around getting quick-scope quad-kills is even in the same game as me, a level 7 guy with the base weapons. With so many people playing this game, you'd think they could fill a lobby with people of relative skill levels.

The matchmaking is finding matches based on connection. Skill based matchmaking was in Advanced Warfare and it was awful. People would just kill themselves for hours just to get matched against bad players.

The multiplayer is so different without everyone spamming grenades at the start. Maybe they’ll pop up once everyone levels up more, but for now it’s nice to get in shootouts at chokepoints without tons of grenades coming in (unless Battery has a cluster or her grenade launcher).

Looking forward to pubbies launching hail mary grenades and taking 4 annihilator shots to hit the broad side of a barn. They, of course, will be on my team. Firebreaks might also gravitate towards it because pubbies are too dumb to figure out reactor core but loving love flamethrowers and masks.
