man it's been 3 years and still Alessia Cara hasn't released a single thing that lives up to the potential that Here showed. I love her but it's a bit of a bummer.

Carly shook her glass, willing the ice to melt. "You still haven't told me what the mission is."

She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

Alessia Cara is the most basic of all the bananees and avocadees pop singers.

Bad girls think that you're being a boob punch

Since Børns was outed as a sexual predator, Carly Rae Jepsen has been bumped up to the Sunday night headlining spot for next weekend’s All Things Go Fall Classic festival In DC. October 7th can’t come fast enough!

The movie itself ain't great, but yeah, some of those songs sure as hell are. Lady Gaga has an amazing voice as usual, and Cooper makes a pretty convincing singer-songwriter.

I thought the movie was great. It wasn’t a perfect film, but I had a lot of fun with it. The end was fantastic too. Hearing Shallow and the last song in Dolby gave me goosebumps everywhere. Goddamn that last song. :3:

I really liked the movie even though I thought I wouldn’t at all. Excited to listen to the tracks more

Charli and Troye Sivan did a very good song called 1999

Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Jimmy T.
My wife and I bought tickets for a Sunday matinee and are pretty stoked to see it. She is a huge Lady Gaga fan and has definitely gotten me into her music a lot more. I always liked Gaga's music and thought she was really talented, but I didn't realize JUST how talented she is until I dove into her work a bit more. Managed to find Born This Way in a used record store for $10 and even though its not my favorite Gaga album, it is still really good.

New song from perpetually-feel-good Sigrid. It's a pretty safe song, but I still dig it, and still love her voice and sound

That's wild, I consider KKB total pop. Like i get that it's too weird to be a radio hit, but every track is so completely pop inflected that i cant see it as anything else. I guess technically indie glitch J-pop is not "pop" but this is the only music thread on SA I really follow that would maybe be interested. KKB just gives me such 2018 Freezepop vibes.

In other news Kim Petras has released an extremely fun Halloween/spooky October album. I was cranking Hillside Boys all summer so I'm so happy there are new tracks. ELVIRA is on a track. It's not mind-blowing but there are some definite bangers.

Also yes Charli x troye as the matrix is extremely good and blessed.

Bradley Cooper can actually sing. Who knew?

A Star Is Born will almost certainly win an Oscar for best original song, but not sure which one. The ending was good, but imagine that Brandi Carlisle’s “The Story” didn’t exist yet and the movie ended with that.

I'll admit, it did get me pretty hype hearing Bradley Cooper's band start playing at the very beginning of the movie in a Dolby theater.

I know that wasn't the focus of the movie, but I wish there had been more of that. Getting to hear performances like that on a really great sound system like that is an awesome experience.

He did really good! The actual soundtrack has some additional songs that weren’t in the film too.

Digging my grave, I don’t know what love is, and Maybe It’s Time are my favorite songs with Bradley on them.

Also Mariah Carey's next album needs to be titled "Are You a God? ...Then Die!" or something equally ridiculous otherwise NO SALE.

Ever since her last album. Her next one is supposed to come out soon and I think it should be decent. Elusive Chanteuse was actually supposed to be called The Art Of Letting Go, but that plan got leaked so she changed it. That song still kicks rear end, though.

It's a piece of JUNK!
So they've released two "singles" from the White Album remix so far, Back In The USSR and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, each with an outtake and an Esher Demo. I was skeptical, but it seems like they're really bringing the goods. The new mixes really bring something new to the table; even though there was always a good stereo mix, these feel more modern. And the outtakes so far are ones I've actually never heard before. (Although I think USSR is the take they used for the finished track? I had no idea they originally played it slow, if indeed that's the case.) And the Esher Demos are a massive increase in quality from what I've heard before. They're crystal-frickin-clear.

Is it ever going to be enough, to love another and be loved?
There's a new Empress Of album out today and it is very very cool and good. I'm sad she won't be touring the US until next year because I'm an impatient baby but I'm excited nontheless!

Also emotionally preparing myself to see Florence today. I wasn't a huge fan of the latest album, but her live shows are always killer so I know it'll be good.

Her live show is INCREDIBLE! Saw her this year

It is closest thing to like a spiritual revival I've been to. There is audience participation as well.
