Eye Boy was actually a cool concept, and not only was he covered in eyes for 360-degree vision but could see things like magic and invisible spectrums. They did a flash-forward issue where he was an Oracle-esque man-in-the-chair for the X-Men.

And the Landfill method is just as good as any*. * = The best part about the Landfill method is that a number of TV shows have used the exact method, but 100% serious in execution.
