They keep buying it because �the economy� is a massive, nebulous, and complicated subject which no one really understands. It�s easy to dazzle people with buzzwords and unverifiable numbers. More importantly, the complexity of the subject makes it easy to mislead people who only ever hear your side of the argument. There are plenty of arguments that can be made which sound compelling until someone from the other side steps in and points out the flaws. If you never hear someone step in to point out the flaws, the original argument can seem very strong.

When things go south, they drop more imaginary numbers and buzzwords on you to make sure you place the blame on something or someone other than the real cause. This works because they�ve taught you that all other sources of information are seething nests of lying snakes out to deceive you and destroy your way of life.

This is a feature not a bug. They also do stuff like gently caress over the post office and underfund or understaff necessary fogernment agencies, then talk about how terrible they are all of a sudden as an example of government waste.

As opposed to the last two years with majorities in both houses where they ~~appropriated $20 billion and began construction on a big beautiful wall~~ went out of their way to block any spending on a wall where there isn't already one.

I don't understand why Trump needs Congress to give him wall money anyway, didn't he say something about Mexico paying for it? Maybe I'm misremembering but I could swear I heard that on the news every day for months.

Also FYI a pipe bomb was found in George Soros' mailbox tonight, fortunately the guy that identified what it was got it away from people and law enforcement were able to dismantle it without detonating. So close to fixing all of the problems in the country! I bet that caravan would have gone straight home if they found out there were no checks for them at the end. Except for the criminals, MS-13, and Middle-Easterners it's riddled with.
