Hey so user novamute created a bookmarklet which cuts out all text-only posts, for use in D&D when you need to catch up on a thread.

I realized it can also be used in PYF if a thread is prone to derails, so here y'all go:
code:
java script:(function(){ $('table.post').filter(function() { return $(this).find('.postbody > div.tweet, .postbody > img:not([src*="somethingawful.com"]), .postbody > a:not([href*="somethingawful.com"]), .postbody > .timg_container > img:not([src*="somethingawful.com"]), .postbody > url.container, .postbody > .gifv_video, .postbody > iframe').length === 0 }).hide() })()
Create bookmark → paste the code into the URL field → delete the space between the words java and script before you save

Caveat: cuts out SA-hosted image attachments (I think or else avatars would whitelist everything) and cuts out posts which quote media without adding media of their own.

Someone at my job site got sold on the idea of an autonomous commercial vacuum cleaner because it could save on labor costs. But because the place has a bunch of furniture and odd angles it needed full-time supervision from the cleaning staff and even then it never worked right. They bought two of them at $30k a piece and they're currently rotting in a storage closet somewhere.

Good times.

You could, before it was shut down due to lovely laws. The new owner might still allow some kind of tour, since there's literally a river running underneath the city and the basement is one of the only places to see it. No doubt it's a historical landmark of some sort... though I think it's being converted to office space.
Edit: Apparently the mission creek in the basement thing is actually a myth and it's just normal groundwater that would appear if anyone dug as deep as the basement. Lame!

Oh the river is certainly there it was one of the highlights of the tour. There's all kinds of old irrigation systems, Shanghai and speak easy tunnels all over this city because of the quake and all the rebuilding that was done. It was really interesting seeing how they re purposed old ammunition storing facilities and cannon elevators into slave dungeons. I had no idea they weren't doing tours anymore. I'm really glad I saw it when I did.
