I think the rational answer is the reasons poor people dont vote are probably a combination of many factors; disenfranchisement, a sense of powerlessness, laziness, and yes, even a dissatisfaction with the political options. basically, the same reasons any person of any class doesnt vote, plus the additional burdens of being poor and deliberate disenfranchisement. Im partial to the argument that moving left and making specific material offers to voters will have the twin effect of getting more non-voters to the polls, and when those policies materially improve their lives, alleviating other material factors that make voting difficult. its gonna be a virtuous cycle: offer them what they need now, and theyll vote for you, and when their needs are met, even more votes for you. but you cant do this unless you put your boot on the neck of the donor and consultant class of the party and tell them to wiggle if theyre still getting too much air.

I just want to say I hate most of you and myself for participating and this thread being moved to CSPAM was a loving catastrophe. Like honestly, we have the funniest day for this thread, some idiot with red text who apparently is well known to go on aggressive rants and routinely derail threads comes in and posts 50 times in 2 pages and get probated, and then a bunch of dudes start complaining that the lovely democrats aren't good enough so why bother voting for even more pages. At least in GBS we got the actual nutters, not just a bunch of shitheads who want to complain about the same garbage american politics in every thread.
