The Quiet Man is hilarious, I can't believe this game actually got made and finished and put out there for people to buy. There was a donation on the Giant Bomb stream of the game that caused one of the hosts to comment that this is from a publisher that got rid of Hitman, but kept this, and that is so good

It wasn't particularly hard for Blizzard to not gently caress this up they literally just had to treat this like much less of a deal than they did. Folks were on the "Diablo 4 is coming" bandwagon because looking at the Blizzcon schedule, Diablo was being treated as a much bigger deal than it usually is. Or hell, they're recruiting heavily for devs on Diablo at the moment, just do a Bethesda-rear end announcement and go "yeah, it's coming, gently caress knows when".

I feel like the good poo poo Cross Code does with its interface should be acknowledged more. You have a way to quickly go through incidental dialogue from NPCs in the world, and if a relevant keyword pops up in a box you can talk to the character at that point. The quick menu is also good.

i'll admit i'm just in an extremely foul mood atm but when i think of playing things up for laughs i think of irony (or at least the "irony" people typically think of) and just how "ironic" an awful lot of things, ideas, and people have turned out to be over the last few years
