Can you imagine going to the election on that? Labor would have 100+ seats. It would be a loving Campbell Newman style Majority. Bill Shorten in 2019: I AM THE SENATE!

Anyone who wants to post this in future but the only versions you can find are shrunken-down, artifacted versions like what the V. Y. Greens posted on facebook, please bookmark this page on my website: http://www.chickennation.com/2013/08/18/you-cant-waste-your-vote/ Highest-possible-res versions are available. Just scroll down. I tell myself this every election, but THIS IS THE ELECTION where I finally redraw this comic with slightly nicer art and update any details that have changed. Do a colour version too for web sharing. Actually, while I'm talking about that... if anyone can think of any improvements to make to the comic, like for the sake of clarity or accuracy, I'm all ears. Just bear in mind that overall, it's got to stay simple and straightforward. One thing that sometimes comes up is that the comic only covers House of Reps voting, not Senate voting, but some people get confused about that. I should make that more clear. ALSO... now that I think about it... maybe I could make some single-image comics/infographics too, with Dennis and Ken, explaining voting-system details that are worth explaining but not important/basic enough to include in the 'main' comic. Like about how 'how to vote' cards are just suggestions, etc. Any thoughts?

Lizard Combatant posted:Still my favourite. Ha ha, thanks. In fact, I labour over stupid lines like this. Gratified to know this one landed. I actually re-read this comic just the other day because I saw on facebook that The Saturday Paper is looking for a new editorial cartoonist, so, uh... I sent it to 'em. Probably doesn't do enough to make the reader feel like an intellectual, but I thought it was worth a punt.

Single images spread best on Twitter and Facebook and hopefully it would educate our woefully uneducated (in voting terms) populace
