The differences between the French wine industry and their American counterparts is pretty telling I think. In France, as well as most of the old world which uses their system, wine-making is highly regulated using a regional appellation system. This system ensures that if you get a bottle of Pouilly-Fume you know for sure that it is 100% Sauvignon-Blanc grown in a single town and processed in a specific way- weather varies from year to year and can affect the flavor but you more or less know what you're getting. In addition to the consistency it also helps build a much stronger tradition of wine-making that has a real sense of place (terroir).

By contrast, the US is a mad Max wasteland with almost no regulation, and generally worse climate for making fine wine.

Personally, I think should be working to make old-world wine more easily available but making nice things less accessible is sort of the GOPs goal I guess.

This isn't a war, it's a moider.
Assuming history exists to be told, it's going to be great that children in the future will be able to read the president's decline into total dementia, with the tweets automatically timesorted and analyzed for reading level. They'll ask us, 'why did you sit by as a nation and watch a man die in real time via Twitter' and you'll turn up the delivery rate on your weed-whiskey-ketamine-oxygen delivery system and giggle as you rasp out Oh so you wanna talk about the Hell Time?

I'm more worried it's dedicated Miller face time. Although maybe the effect is the same as watching Fox news for prolonged periods.

Not to ever defend shucks of all people, but presumably he'd have to get driven back, which puts the drive time at 2:24. Unless I'm misreading and that is there and back.

Why the gently caress she thinks 'the president would have to drive to Honor loving war dead on the hundredth anniversary of the great war isn't worth a two and a half hour drive is a better question.

People in a severe mental decline tend to lose their ability to filter their thoughts. Think of the sort of poo poo Trump says now, and then imagine if he spent most of his day actually in the public eye without babysitters. He'd probably start bragging about guys he had killed over real estate, fondly recounting various rapes he'd committed, or blurting out details of whatever Putin has ordered him to do, all with actionable details.

So, y'know, just slightly beyond what he does now.
