Alita is one of my favourite cyberpunk settings, it's great. I will never understand who the gently caress would take a look at this trailer and decide that yeah, that's it, loving nailed it. But I also took a look at the youtube comments under the trailer and there were a lot of people praising "Alita's anime look", so that's another confirmation for the "we all died and entered some hell dimension back in 2016" theory.
