so if i made a bootable usb installer for 1809 before it was pulled, do i need to do that again with the new release? or will a install from that start getting updates now?

i think that release was completely abandoned so your best bet is to use the media tool and make a new one

lol if the build number is the same because it's actually the same build
|
# ? Nov 14, 2018 03:09 |

it very well might be the same for a fresh install, where the "deletes your data on install" bugs dont really apply, but i would presume that the upgrade installer has a bunch of fixes

using NPS on a product that technically holds a monopoly is pretty laughable "oh, no, I've only ever used Windows but I'd definitely recommend CentOS over this bullshit" also I love how they keep changing CB CBB LTSB to Semi annual or retarded or whatever just so customers always have a "oh, it's changed, it's normal to be disruptive" moment instead of realizing that this poo poo OS that can't update has been out for 3 and a half years now

laughing my rear end off everytime I remember the sessions where Msft employees had to keep reconnecting their keyboards to their surfaces and Intune configurations that one customer would have but not the others, and nothing worked

remembering that one session that was "everything new with Intune" and this programmer dude comes in and spends an hour talking about "now when you hover on the fields there will be a description to tell you what data you need to input" lmao

remembering NDA sessions where the only person attending was from Marketing and any roadmap questions were met with "I can't really tell you that" very useful NDAs

Windows 1809, October Otter Should have been 1811, November Nagscreen I'm sure the accelerated schedule for 1903 won't mean more bugs. Lambert fucked around with this message at 12:19 on Nov 14, 2018 |

orange sky posted:remembering NDA sessions where the only person attending was from Marketing and any roadmap questions were met with "I can't really tell you that" they used to hold marketing events focused on the SMB market where they'd send a guy with a powerpoint deck to do a presentation of the new product lineup followed by a q&a. invariably they couldn't answer any questions because anything not in the deck was NDA'd
