Honestly, looks like it took the hit really well. What was he driving, and how'd your back/neck fare?

Overclocked? I still use the same processor @ 4.3 (starting getting some BSOD with it higher so I recently dropped it down for stability...getting a little long in the tooth) with a 1070 and it rocks for most everything.

It's probably easy enough to call the DMV and explain that the vehicle is n---hahahahahaha, nothing is easy with the DMV. They incorrectly listed one of my cars as stolen and it was a huge loving pain to get it re-registered, and in the meantime my wife was in active loving labor.

But there's probably an easy way to find out who is on the title. If it's you, you get her to a title center and you take care of that poo poo. If it's her, you mail her the registration paperwork and say, "It's your problem, you fix it."

Wat. They didn't start the fire from space, but melted cars from space?

From what I've been reading investigations into these fires have been leading to electrical companies more times than not and they have been footing the bill. Now electric companies are apparently shutting down power in high risk areas and people are pissed they have no power, but then their house burns down in a fire cause by electricity if not. It's a no win situation.

I LOVE Musk and his pro-first-amendment ways. X is the future.
Before this paradise fire pg&e was going to shut down the power lines in the area and people bitched and they didn't. Oops. You're right that it's no win. And nobody clears the underbrush like they are supposed to, which makes the fires so much worse.

That drives me nuts. Like, motherfucker, do you know nothing about anything? Do you not understand the very loving basic concept of fuel + oxygen + fire equals heat, and that metals soften far below the temps needed to make them liquid?

A quick Google shows structural carbon steels start to soften at 300c and start to melt below 900c. A forest fire easily gets to 800c, and one like the Camp Fore with a 50mph wind feeding it can locally go mutch hotter, having been recorded in previous fires hitting over 1200c.

This is like, iron age basics of metalworking.
