Wow, I don't think I've ever seen such a lopsided poll. I belatedly realize I'm not part of the primary audience of the series. I don't really care at all about Taichi and Arata at this point, I just want Chihaya to finally win. And also get more extremely good lap pillows.

I'm so glad that season 3 finally has a release date! My not reading a single chapter ahead in the manga after season 2 ended was entirely worth it. They’re probably gonna go at the same clip they have been and just stop once they get close to the source material. If the manga is close to being finished, I wouldn’t be surprised if it does what the original run did, and do another season the year after the first and finish that way.

Treated myself to the Blu-Rays for Christmas, and I'm finally doing a re-watch. I'm up to episode 12, and I got so steamed when it looked like Chihaya's parents and the Empress didn't care about karuta!

I picked up a couple details I missed the first time: -Suou is actually introduced fairly early in the show during the flashback with Arata and his grandfather -In the filler recap episode, the outfit Chihaya's sister wears while she talks about how Chihaya's clothes are hand-me-downs is worn by Chihaya several episodes later at the class party.
