There are lots of these people on Twitter responding to AOC. Thank gently caress Pelosi seems savvy enough to recognize this and is actively working towards getting young progressives prominent committee positions according to some article I saw recently. A big advantage of being both young enough to be social media savvy and not previously linked to the party apparatus is that she comes across as very... unmanaged? It's really been something to watch, and I hope she can keep it up. Looking at some of the comments on that AOC tweet from a couple of pages back, I literally cannot fathom the mindset of people who say "I would sooner be driven into bankruptcy or watch my children suffer terrible preventable illnesses because I can't afford to pay for their treatment than accept ONE PENNY OF ASSISTANCE FROM THE GOVERNMENT FOR SOCIALIST HEALTHCARE!!!"  I'm a Brit, so I've grown up with the NHS, but... what the gently caress? I mean, what the actual gently caress?
