Everyone deserves death, and we all get what we deserve. Some deaths, like those if pharma execs, just happen to be a social good. Murdering someone in a higher tax bracket really shouldn't be a crime.

I don't think any of the things people are saying are difficult hurdles to clear My general point was that government is not currently in the biologics business. If you wanna say they should be, that's reasonable (very reasonable). If you wanna say they should expropriate IP and give it to rival pharma, that's gonna be trickier and will require a reworking of the whole production process either by coercion or reverse engineering. Either way, neither option is as easy as "seize the formula" . Doesn't mean I'm not all for nationalised/internationalised healthcare at every level though

I feel like the part centrists ignore is that there is am implied social contract capitalists engage in, where the employers pay a wage that keeps the employees living and comfortable, and society functioning in exchange for the lower classes not just massing and violently taking their stuff and possibly their lives through sheer numbers. And when one side continually breaks that contract, eventually there will be consequences. When you get these rich people out there acting like they have no idea why people are so upset at them, I feel like maybe a reminder of the agreed-upon order is required

I mean truth be told I actually personally hope that if God is real that there is no Hell, because the idea of Hell seems directly contradictory to an all-loving God to me even if it's "the absence or rejection of God" or whatever it is the Catholic Church rationalizes it as these days. Also it was discussed in the 2020 primary thread but Beto may run for president as an attempt to get a VP slot.

Trump's likeability is a mystery to you because you aren't a bad person. The type of people attracted to Trump are bad people. That the latter group may actually be atrocious people is anathema to the media because it implies the entire basis of American culture is rotten.
