I don’t think that’s it, but it is reasonable. I could see them doing video to build on the podcast and get a bigger audience. But video is so much work and has an initial sunk cost.

They're either doing the Clerks cartoon series too or they're doing 12 episodes of We Love Movies

Clerks cartoon makes sense to be animation damnation. The Nexus replacement still has me puzzled.

Has Smith done any Star Wars or Star Trek specials or cartoons? Feels like he would have had to at some point?

If it has to be a Clerks cartoon one, it would probably have to be the third, where the ending is just a big gay joke. Guest starring James Woods and Al Franken.

Honestly, my guess is this one is AD and Nexus is either the mere 6 eps of Clerks TAS or a two-fer of DC superhero TV Smith guest directed. Arrow and Flash or something.

Looks like Apes-Ma May have been at least partially right. Their Twitter posted a link to a YouTube video that was labeled as a test for upcoming video projects, and the video placeholder for their big announcement has fancy new art and logo.

It is your favorite Mel Brooks movie when you are 13. If it is still your favorite when you are 30, something wrong happened.

Besides, Richard Lewis is NOWHERE near the best parts of that movie, "Men in Tights". That goes to the Sheriff of Rottingham, he will always be amazing as to how much he dives straight into lunacy, his lines are forever quotable.

He rivals Alan Rickman in scenery chewing in their respective movies.

While I agree that the third Naked Gun is very much of it's time and begrudgingly the second as well. The first is loving timeless.

Mel Brooks was a pinch before my time. When it comes to parody films, I was introduced to the genre through the Leslie Nielsen vehicle Wrongfully Accused, which I barely remember except for this one scene in a truck stop where Leslie Nielsen has to come up with a fake identity and his antagonist is there and when the antagonist figures out who Leslie was he drops his coffee in shock, and then there's a balloon. I haven't seen it in 20 years but boy does it hold up in my memory!

Andrew's "normal" talking voice sounds so weird after listening to literally thousands of hours of him talk. It's so sultry. I'm sure he's trying to keep quiet, but it's weird.

Early episodes have much more low-key intros for Jupin in particular. It always catches me off-guard when it's a quiet "..I'm Andrew Jupin" rather than "Welcome to WHM on the Sideshow/Headgum/etc network! I'm ANdrew JUpin".
