It happens sometimes that local races in the Bay Area are between the Progressive and the Moderate. All it would take is a little more formal organization behind the candidates when that happens.

Is it just CHUDopolis? fun fact, kern county was one of the counties where obama won less than 20% of the white vote in 2012 and mccarthy's district is the white side of bakersfield, oildale (which has a reputation as klansville from what i gather), and overall is majority-white, so.

He's not the worst necessarily (support for free community college and stuff is good, iffy statements about "access to affordable healthcare" less so, particularly from a guy who apparently has a lot of money in healthcare stuff), but not the best either. At the least I don't think he's a blue dog. Either way, it would be satisfying to see Valadao booted out on his rear end.
