The art therapy major/comics nerd in me has always wondered if that's why Aquaman never got a good rap. I mean, look at that dude, he's basically Lex Luthor wearing Aquaman's colorway. Edit: on further reflection, I can see why they made Aquaman orange and green; he's gonna be splashing around the ocean for most of his pages, blue sure as poo poo ain't gonna work. Talk of the invaders and og human torch reminds me of a question I had, I remember some panel where cap in modern day is introducing Jim to someone and cap says "he killed Hitler" did that event ever actually happen in a book or was that something that they added/retconned in later and we never got to see it?

From Young Men #24, the issue that began the brief Fifties revival of the Human Torch, Namor, and Captain America (the Commie Smasher version that was later retconned into being an evil McCarthyite imitator of the real Cap).
